About Bristol RSGB Group:

The Bristol RSGB group dates back to 1933 and we believe it to be one of only two RSGB "Groups" left in the UK (Belfast being the other).
Contesting has always been a major interest of the group and in 1952 /53/54 it won National Field Day three years in a row (again in 1956). To commemorate this achievement the "Bristol Trophy" was given to RSGB HQ to be presented as an award and continues to this day. The Bristol group won it back again in 1999, and has since gone on to win many other awards over recent years.
The Longleat Mobile Rally, one of the biggest and most successful rallies in the country, was run by the group from 1958 - 2002 .
The regular talks are held on the last Monday of the month in Redland. The group's contesting activities are organized elsewhere.

Regular talks on a monthly basis are the main activity.
